A dance drama based on Krishna Leela was presented by the East-West School of Dance in traditional Kathak style. This event took place in the Blue Sky Center auditorium of Ananda Ashram in Monroe, New York. Ananda Ashram is a yoga retreat and a spiritual educational center. Over 25 trained dancers and their families got together for this 2 hour event.

This event also happened to coincide with the Krishna Janmashtami festival period. The program was directed by dancer and choreographer Pandit S.N Charka, who is a disciple of Pandit Shambhu Maharaj. The event was well attended by over 200 people. The production came alive with the colorful scenes from the life of Krishna. It started out with a portrayal of his childhood years and culminated in the Maha Raas, his cosmic dance with the gopinis.

The production cast and crew included Rinil Routh, a former East-West Dance School student who has recently made his foray into Bollywood. Routh played the role of Radha while Kavitha Mohini Tajeshwar, a senior dancer, played the character of Krishna.
