Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati to Spend Chaturmas in Vrindavan

Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati, the Shankaracharya of Dwaraka Sharda-Peeth will be spending Chaturmas in Krishna Leela Bhumi Vrindavan. Eminent personalities including celebrities and leaders are expected to set foot on Krishna’s land during Chaturmas for the darshan and blessings of Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati.  He will arrive in Vrindavan on 21st this month and stay until 25th of September.  

Shankaracharya will stay at Oriya Baba Ashram, Godh Vihar, where a new room is under construction for Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati. His presence will add to the grandeur and magnificence of the Chaturmas celebrations. The major festivals include Sanskrit Divas (26th August), Krishna Janmastami (2nd September), Raksha Bandhan (26th August) and Anant Chaturdasi (23rd September).

Besides Vrindavan, Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati spent Chaturmas in many other religious places including Trimbakeshwa, Varanasi and Jaipur. Last year, he spent his 94th birthday and Chaturmas in Dwaraka and in 2016, Shankaracharya spent his days in Haridwar during Chaturmas.

According to Kuldeep Dube, Oriya Baba Ashram Media representative, Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati is to spend Chaturmas for the very first time in Vrindavan. During this tour, his personal secretaries, Sadanand Saraswati Maharaj of Dwaraka and Avimukteswara Anand Maharaj of Varanasi will accompany Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati.
