Mathura and Vrindavan are celebrating Janmashtami for 8 days this year, from 17 th August to 25 th August!

Yogi Adityanath has instructed the Braj Development Council to chalk out an elaborate plan for this Janmashtami. The celebrations will begin from the 17 th and last up till 25 th August. The Minister of Culture, Chaudhary Laxmi Narain has informed that international artists from Indonesia and Malaysia will be performing in the festivities. Artists from various Indian states will also be travelling to Vrindavan and Mathura during this time for the same reason.

One of the highlights of the performances will be the ‘Krishna Raasleela’ performance by the Delhi based Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra troupe. There will be film screenings and laser shows depicting the birth and life of Lord Krishna. Painting and rangoli competitions will be held. The temples in the twin cities will be illuminated and decorated. BJP MP for Mathura, the famous Hema Malini, is also expected to perform for the occasion.
