An electric crematorium is being proposed for the city of love and devotion. This crematorium will have facilities for electric as well as wood-fire cremation. The total project cost for building this crematorium is estimated at approximately Rs. 3.5 crore. A couple of years back, plans for an electric crematorium were tabled alongside the Yamuna in Mathura.
After all this time, the MVDA is planning to act on the electronic crematorium again, under the leadership of Vice Chairman Mr. C.P. Singh, who wants to develop it on the same lines as those the bigger cities.
