The Mathura Police department is now using the social media to let the public know of the good deeds done by them. Their twitter handle is ‘Mathura Police’ and it is used to keep the public in the loop for all the recent developments in the police department. Following the replacement of SP Babloo Kumar by SP Rakesh Singh, the department’s involvement in social media has significantly increased.
Not only the public, but even the senior officers receive daily updates and reports via social media. The general public is also alerting the police of any anti social activity in their area via social media. All in all, it seems like social media has proved a boon for the Mathura Police Department. We hope this initiative enhances the law and order and improves relationships between the administration and the society.
