A delegation of the Braj Vrindavan Heritage Alliance met the Union Minister for Tourism and Culture, Dr. Mahesh Sharma to demand a regular superfast train between Vrindavan and Nabadweep Dham. The delegation, led by Shri Tamal Krishna Das Brahmachari met the minister at his office in Transport Bhawan, New Delhi. Shri Subal Das of the Gaudiya Mission suggested that the train be named ‘Chaitanya Rath’ in order to commemorate Mahaprabhu’s 500th anniversary of arrival in Vrindavan.
At the end of the meeting, the minister assured the delegation that he would put forward the proposal to the Ministry of Railways.
